The Academy Staff


The Academy staff are all very carefully selected and read all about them below.

Academy Manager – Ady Milne – UEFA B Qualified Coach, with 28 years coaching experience, and has also held posts of Head of Youth Football at a couple of community football clubs. Ady has experience of coaching and managing both in the UK and in a total to date attended over 30 International tours and tournaments. An avid Aston Villa supporter, so clearly possesses a great sense of humour!!

The Coaching Team

Simon Pryor – Simon is a UEFA B Licence coach and a very experienced outfield and goalkeeping coach at the Academy offering the chance for all players and our goalkeepers to develop their talents. Simon also runs a couple of our major school projects and is also a very keen Spurs fan.

Tommy Wilkinson – An excellent young coach who is a U23 team coach at a local club and now a Phoenix personal coaching tutor along with assisting in many other aspects of Phoenix Football Academy, primarily the youth academy and the school coaching project at ACS International School in Egham.

Dan Muino – Dan is a local high level team player and a manager of an excellent local youth team, as well as continuing his studies at Bournemouth University. Dan is a quality coach and one of the new recruits to the coaching staff at Phoenix.

Johan Flo – Johan has been working with all the academies in 2017/18 and is a very promising young coach. Previously a player for Phoenix at the Gothia Cup , another player becoming a coach within the academy. Johan has now moved to Norway for a season playing semi-professional football and will be back with us during the mid season breaks.

Aaron Nicholson – Aaron is one of our quality International Tour coaches. Aaron also works at a local academy and is another Villa fan who keeps his head down!!  Aaron works at Basingstoke Town FC with one of their JPL squads.

Mikey Davis – Mikey works at Basingstoke Town and is a very good young coach who will be attending his first Gothia Cup in Sweden in 2018 with the U13 squad.

Luke Neville – Luke is an excellent central defender at Beaconsfield SYCOB FC and also has just completing his first year’s posting as a sports teacher. Luke has promising career as a coach and a player with a great attitude with the youngsters. Luke has coached in Sweden with Phoenix as well as being out there as a player.

Stuart Clark – Stu is an excellent young coach working at the Goalkeeping Academies and the Holiday Camps as well as playing for Farnborough FC.

Josh Nice – Josh works with our holiday camps and occasionally in our academies as well as not just being an ex player but also now a coach representing Phoenix in Sweden at the Gothia Cup with the U18 group.

Lauren Futcher – Currently assisting with the ASC projects and holiday camps, Lauren also has just started a new work placement for the new academic year.  Lauren has a superb attitude with the children, putting on some excellent sessions.

Matt Dean – Matt is a recent recruit who has played for Phoenix in Sweden, and still plays at a high standard at U23 level.  Matt will now be working with out U10 and U13 academy groups and has a great future as a coach.

Sophia Demetriou – Sophia works at our new Girls Academy and is a very promising young coach.  Sophia is also a student at RHUL Egham and plays a high level of women’s football.

Mica Powick – A sports teacher in West London who is an excellent coach and player and works primarily in our Holiday Camps.

Steve Muino – A coach with Ascot United’s excellent U14 squad and Steve will be with our U14 squad as an assistant in Sweden. An avid Spurs fan.

Neil Redman – An experienced coach who has attended over 20 International events who joins the team as a coach for the Gothia Cup in Sweden. Neil is a Portsmouth fan who works full time with students at Chichester College.

Ben Clifford – An ex-player with Phoenix who will attend Sweden as an assistant in 2018 for the second time. Ben also assists with the holiday camps.

Owen Holland – A goalkeeper for the Bracknell Youth team who also works at the Winnersh Primary School Football club and is a student at the Forest School.  Owen is a talented young coach and now works with the young goalkeepers at the academy and also looks after the U7 academy group.

Connor Holland – A student at Forest School works at our after school football at Winnersh Primary School.  Connor is a great coach and we hope to see him working within the academy groups very soon.

The Sports Therapy Team

Neil Mason – Neil and his physiotherapy team look after the physiotherapy screening for our older Academy players. Neil runs his own physiotherapy clinic and is also an experienced goalkeeping coach, having previously worked at Brentford FC. Neil provides with his team vital physiotherapy analysis of players as they develop through their key years.

Alexia Sawdon – Lexi provides the Sports Therapy screenings for the academy and also is a regular in Sweden with the group at the Gothia Cup. Lexi also works at a local football club along with working full time at a well renowned Sports Therapy clinic.

Ash Dean – One of the Academy sports therapists who works full time at Southend University Hospital. Ash will also join us to provide valuable support in Sweden.

Luke Morrison – Luke is another excellent addition to the team, who is a full time sports therapist and will join the team in Sweden.

All the Academy staff are carefully selected and all possess varying coaching qualifications and also the following:

• CRB Clearance
• First Aid Certification
