The Academy staff are all very carefully selected and read all about them below.
Academy Director – Ady Milne – UEFA B Qualified Coach, with over 35 years coaching experience, and has also held posts of Head of Youth Football at a couple of community football clubs. Ady has experience of coaching and managing in the UK and in a total to date attended over 50 International tours and tournaments.
The Coaching Team
Ben Sawyer – Ben manages the Girls and Youth Academies and works in all areas of the academy as well as delivering football at all levels of the ACS International School in Egham, St Marys School and Charters School. Ben will also join us in Sweden at the Gothia Cup 2025.
Henry Grad – Henry is an ex-Reading FC Academy goalkeeper and an excellent and enthusiastic coach at the goalkeeping academy, youth academy and the school projects. Henry will be joining us in Sweden at the Gothia Cup 2025.
Charlie Turner – Charlie is a local coach who runs a local youth team and has just completed his first year with us. Charlie works on our projects at both ACS and Charter School along with all of our academies. Charlie also runs our holiday camps will also join us in Sweden this year.
Hannah Morrison – Hannah is an excellent coach who runs out Junior Cubs Academy and delivers fantastic sessions at the Girls and Youth Academy as well as running Girls football sessions at ACS Egham which culminated in a trip to Holland in November. Hannah will attend with our girls teams in Sweden in July.
Ciaran McGuire – A teacher at a local school, Ciaran is a superb goalkeeping coach and a great addition to the coaching team. He will continue to work with the older goalkeepers at the academy in 2025.
Luke Russell – Luke has joined the staff of our highly popular Goalkeeping Academy and we look forward to working with Luke in 2025 on many other projects. An avid Brentford FC fan following them all over the country.
Leighton Rudd – Leighton provides excellent coaching at our goalkeeping academy, and also works with the girls goalkeeper group. Leighton is also out new Social Media manager and will be able to promote the academy to new and existing families in 2025.
Sam Swyer – A new addition to the coaching team, Sam is an excellent goalkeeping coach and also assists with the holiday camps. Sam represented Phoenix Football Academy at the Gothia Cup in Sweden in 2024 and is a great role model both on and off the pitch.
Nathan Nicholls – A keen goalkeeper, Nathan has been working with us in the goalkeeping academy for a couple of years and although now at university is a regular back at the academy when he is able to, providing an excellent set of sessions to our younger goalkeepers and lots of fun at the camps.
George Weir – George is a PE support teacher a a local independent school and helps run the junior academy. An excellent addition to the team and I am sure we will see George assisting with other projects in 2025.
The Sports Therapy Team
Neil Mason – Neil and his physiotherapy team look after the physiotherapy support for our older Academy players. Neil runs his own physiotherapy clinic and is also an experienced goalkeeping coach, having previously worked at Brentford FC. Neil can provide us with vital physiotherapy analysis of players as they develop through their key years.
Alexia Sawdon – Lexi is able to provide Sports Therapy support for the academy and also works at a local football club along with working full time at a well renowned Sports Therapy clinic.
All the Academy staff are carefully selected and all possess varying coaching qualifications and all hold a valid DBS certification.
