The Academy Staff

The Academy staff are all very carefully selected and read all about them below.

Academy Director – Ady Milne – UEFA B Qualified Coach, with 30 years coaching experience, and has also held posts of Head of Youth Football at a couple of community football clubs. Ady has experience of coaching and managing in the UK and in a total to date attended over 35 International tours and tournaments.

The Coaching Team

Simon Pryor – Simon is a UEFA B Licence coach and a very experienced outfield and goalkeeping coach at the Academy offering the chance for all players and our goalkeepers to develop their talents. Simon also runs a couple of our major school projects and is also a very keen Spurs fan.

Tommy Wilkinson – An excellent young coach who is a U23 team coach at a local club and now a Phoenix personal coaching tutor along with assisting in many other aspects of Phoenix Football Academy.  Tommy also now works at Fulham FC Academy.

James Daly – James is an ex-professional who played at QPR and Derby County as well as several seasons in the Irish League.  James also represented Ireland U18s where he played alongside Jack Grealish.  James is an excellent addition to the staff and works primarily in our school projects.

Isak Flo – Isak has been working with all the academies in 2018/19 and is a very promising young coach. Previously a player for Phoenix at the Gothia Cup , another player becoming a coach within the academy. Isak is also now delivering personal coaching sessions and hosting many birthday parties.

Ben Sawyer – Ben is one of our new recruits and works at several of our academies as well as delivering football at all levels of the ACS International School in Egham.  Ben will also join us in Sweden in 2020 at the Gothia Cup.

Aaron Nicholson – Aaron is one of our quality International Tour coaches. Aaron is the Youth Academy manager at Basingstoke FC and Head of the JPL squads.

Mikey Davis – Mikey works at Basingstoke Town and is a very good young coach who attended his first Gothia Cup in Sweden in 2018 with the U13 squad and will be joining us again this year.

Stuart Clark – Stu is an excellent young coach working at the Goalkeeping Academies and the Holiday Camps as well as playing for Farnborough FC.  Stu will also work continue to work at ACS International School in Egham.

Josh Nice – Josh works with our holiday camps and occasionally in our academies as well as not just being an ex player but also now a coach who has represented Phoenix in Sweden at the Gothia Cup as player and coach.

Lauren Futcher – Currently assisting with the holiday camps, Lauren works at school full time now and has a superb attitude with the children, putting on some excellent sessions.

Sophia Demetriou – Sophia works at our new Girls Academy and is a very promising young coach.  Sophia is also a student at RHUL Egham and plays a high level of women’s football.

Will Rapley – Will works at both our holiday camps and birthday parties and is a very good young coach especially good with the very young groups.

Neil Redman – An experienced coach who has attended over 20 International events who joins the team as a coach for the Gothia Cup in Sweden. Neil is a Portsmouth fan who works full time with students at Chichester College.

Ben Clifford – An ex-player with Phoenix who will attend Sweden as an assistant coach in 2020 having been a player several times there also. Ben also assists with the holiday camps.

Luke Elliot – Our dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach who works to deliver superb syllabus to our Monday Youth Academy members.  Luke delivers quality sessions for us throughout the season.

The Sports Therapy Team

Neil Mason – Neil and his physiotherapy team look after the physiotherapy screening for our older Academy players. Neil runs his own physiotherapy clinic and is also an experienced goalkeeping coach, having previously worked at Brentford FC. Neil provides with his team vital physiotherapy analysis of players as they develop through their key years.

Alexia Sawdon – Lexi provides the Sports Therapy screenings for the academy and also is a regular in Sweden with the group at the Gothia Cup. Lexi also works at a local football club along with working full time at a well renowned Sports Therapy clinic.

Ash Dean – One of the Academy sports therapists who works full time at Southend University Hospital. Ash will also join us to provide valuable support in Sweden.

Luke Morrison – Luke is another excellent addition to the team, who is a full time sports therapist and will join the team in Sweden.

All the Academy staff are carefully selected and all possess varying coaching qualifications and also the following:

• First Aid Certification
